Comic Mint is pleased to offer Looney Tunes fans this unique piece of animation art featuring Bugs Bunny, Shorty and Pete Puma.
Released in 1952, and directed by Robert McKimson, “Rabbit’s Kin” was the only theatrical release for Pete Puma. “Rabbit’s Kin” marks the first use of the “three or four” lumps of sugar gag, which heralded Pete Puma into cartoon history. The original drawing was rendered by Juan Ortiz and the master hand inked by Laurie Dindis. The background was painted by Hector Martinez, and reproduced using the fine art Giclee process.
This small edition of 100 pieces (worldwide) has been SOLD-OUT for many years, as it was released back in 2002, and is becoming difficult to find. The artwork is comprised of a single hand painted cel placed against a fine art giclee background, with an image area measuring 12" x 10" inches (unframed). The cel has the official Clampett Studio gold seal (lower corner), and is accompanied with a certificate of authenticity.
