Bugs Bunny makes his much anticipated return to the silver screen, accompanied by an all-star Looney Tunes cast, in the star-studded epic short, "Carrotblanca." In this scene, Mr. Bugs reminisces (via a montage sequence) upon his ill-fated love affair with his ladylove Kitty (Penelope, in her first speaking role). Upon her departure, Kitty left Mr. Bugs a note, reassuring him that "... We'll always have Pongo-Pongo and Helsinki, Pismo Beach, Timbuktu..." As a special bonus, a miniature of the title-card is presented, custom-matted with a special cel of Sam (Daffy Duck as the im-mutable piano player.)
This limited edition cel was created to capture a key pose from the 1995 Looney Tunes cartoon "Carrotblanca." Created at the famed Warner Bros. Classic Animation studio, the original drawing was hand-inked and the master ink line of the characters along with the Warner Bros. seal of authenticity were transferred to a clear acetate sheet (or "cel") utilizing the serigraph screen printing process. In traditional animation style, the cels were then expertly hand-painted on the reverse side. The original, mood-capturing background was reproduced using the lithography process. In the final step of production, each piece was hand-numbered in an edition of only 250 pieces worldwide. Please note that Daffy Duck is also hand painted on the Carrotblanca Title Plaque.
The artwork measures 13.5" x 12" inches in height (unframed). The cel has the official Warner Brothers gold seal (lower corner), and is accompanied with the official Studio Certificate of Authenticity.
