Comic Mint is pleased to offer Looney Tunes fans this unique piece of animation art featuring that suave and sophisticated french skunk, Pepe Le Pew.
"Life is but a petite femme skunk fatale, no?" Originally appearing in the 1945 Looney Tunes cartoon "Odor-able Kitty", the adventures of the amorous french skunk that are so widely known and loved (in which a female cat inadvertantly gets a white stripe painted down her back...) actually began in a 1949 Academy Award winning short entitled "For Scent-imental Reasons".
This cel and model sheet background capture many of the key poses and attitudes of the skunk whose charm could not fail.
This Limited Edition Hand Painted Cel is placed over a lithographic background depicting various "persona" poses from Pepe Le Pew model sheets used in filmmaking. Used as reference for animators and story board artists, the model sheets provide critical character notes helping to ensure character consistency in look, style and size.
This magnificent piece comes in an edition size of just 750 pieces, and measures 16.5" inches across x 13.5" inches in height (unframed). It is applied to a Fine Art lithographic background. The cel has the official Warner Brothers gold seal (lower corner).
