Comic Mint is pleased to offer Yosemite Sam fans this unique piece of animation art entitled "Mine Shaft Shuffle", which is one of the largest hand painted animation art cels produced by legendary animator Virgil Ross.
This limited edition pan was inspired by the 1948 Warner Bros. cartoon, "Bugs Bunny Rides Again," directed by Friz Freleng. in this classic scene, Yosemite Sam comes into town looking for any varmint bold enough to try'n tame him. Of course Bugs Bunny is up to the challenge, as usual. Sam fires his gun at Bugs' feet, exclaiming, "Dance, Rabbit!" Bugs does a bit of the ol' soft shoe and says "Take it, Sam..." With a momentarily bewildered look on his face, Sam takes it, and shuffles his big finale right down an open mine shaft!
This cel is hand inked and hand painted, and was released in an edition size of 500 pieces (worldwide). This edition has been SOLD-OUT for two decades, as it was released way back in 1995, and is extremely hard to find anymore. The artwork is comprised of a single hand painted cel placed against a photographic background, with an image area measuring 13.5" x 33" inches (unframed).
The cel has the official Virgil Ross "Masters Collection Edition" gold seal (lower corner), and is accompanied with a certificate of authenticity.
