Comic Mint is pleased to offer LITTLE MERMAID fans this delightful limited edition cel titled "Ariel's Wish" This sericel edition,"Ariel's Wish", is inspired by Sequence 3.1 Scene 25 of Disney's 28th animated feature, highlighting the lovely mermaid princess, Ariel, as she longs to be part of the human world. 

This SOLD-OUT limited edition sericel was released back in 2002, in an edition size of 2,500 pieces worldwide.

These sourceless are a reproduction of a hand-inked, hand-painted animation cel master specially created by the Animated Animations Company and artists at the Walt Disney Studios Ink and Paint Department. American Atelier of Gardena, California, used this master cel as reference to produce this sericel edition. 21 colors were used to recreate the color image, each of which has been exactlingly screen-printed, one color at a time, onto the acetate cel.

The background scene accompanying this cel was created at Monterey Park, California, and has been lithographically printed on premium-quality, acid-free paper.

This beautiful sericel measures 13.5" x 10.5" inches (unframed), and the cel has the DISNEY studio seal (lower corner) and is accompanied with the official certificate of authenticity.

Serigraph Cels, or sericels, recreate images of characters. To produce a sericel, studio artists create a hand-inked, hand-colored painting or model of characters, which is then transferred to the acetate cel by a silk-screen printing process known as serigraphy. Sericels are printed in Limited Editions and are richly colored and detailed.
