Comic Mint is pleased to offer CHUCK JONES fans this unique piece of animation art featuring Hubie and Bertie, in this RARE sold out 12 field cel titled: "Roughly Squeaking" (2001).
In the 1946 Chuck Jones-directed short Roughly Squeaking, mice Hubie and his giggling pal Bertie (voiced by Stan Freberg), the mischievous rodents, fool a house cat into thinking he's a lion that eats moose, and thinking a mean bulldog is the moose. Here's a rare hand-painted 12 field limited edition cel of Hubie and Bertie with the disguised cat, who has just been pummeled by the bulldog.
With an edition size of only 46 (worldwide), this cel was quickly sold out when released in 2001 and is a tough edition to find.
The artwork is comprised of a single hand painted cel placed against a photographic background, with an image area measuring 12.5" x 10.5" inches (unframed).
The cel includes an estate plate Chuck Jones signature, and a Linda Jones gold seal (lower corner), and is accompanied with a certificate of authenticity.
