This is a hand inked and hand painted limited edition cel featuring the facsimile signature of Robert McKimson.
Animation director Robert McKimson was one of the major directors of Warner Bros. Golden Era of Animation during the 1940’s and the 1950’s. During this time, he created some of the world’s most popular characters including the Tasmanian Devil, Foghorn Leghorn, Speedy Gonzales and Sylvester Jr.
During McKimson’s celebrated career in animation, he directed 175 classic Warner Bros. cartoons. “Let's Play Croquet” is a limited edition cel featuring a scene taken from original artwork from the 1956 cartoon, “Walky Talky Hawky”. The cel has the official Warner Brothers gold seal (lower corner), and is accompanied with the Certificate of Authenticity.
