We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this RARE hand painted original production cel setup, from the classic sixth season episode "Round Springfield" (1995).
This is one the most heartwarming and emotionally charged moments ever in a SIMPSONS episode. Here we see Bleeding Gums Murphy, for the final time with Lisa, belting out the “Jazzman” classic!
Bleeding Gums: "Aw. Lisa, honey, music comes from what's in your heart, not what's on your teeth. Come on, let's jam” (he starts to play) and Lisa plays the sax with him (people in the hospital listen and start dancing).
Lisa starts singing: "When the Jazzman's testifyin', a faithless man believes. He can sing you into paradise, or bring you to your knees. Jazzman, take my blues away, Make my pain the same as yours With every change you play. Jazzman, oh, Jazzman"
The song ends with Bleeding Gums hugging Lisa. "Baby, you are going to knock 'em dead," he says, then coughs. "Here," he says, holding out his saxophone, "take this for luck." Lisa gasps, "Your sax! Thank you so much." He waves to her as she walks out. After putting on a great show at her recital, Lisa returns to tell him about it. When she gets back, however, she's devastated to find out that he's passed away.
