This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted production cel (there are no others), and the artwork was filmed and used in the making of this SIMPSONS episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork on screen around the 10:08 mark. Homer is hand-painted onto a single cel, and placed against a copy of the matching scene background.
This 12 field, 3-peghole, celluloid measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide, and bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is also accompanied with the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.
EPISODE SYNOPSIS:
"King of the Hill" is the twenty-third episode of the ninth season of the animated television series The Simpsons, which originally aired May 3rd, 1998. After realizing he is terribly out of shape, Homer joins a gym and with the help of Rainer Wolfcastle, Homer cuts a new jib. When Woflcastle turns down the chance to climb Springfield's tallest mountain, the Murderhorn, as a promotion for Powersauce energy bars, Homer volunteers to undertake the dangerous challenge.
