We are pleased to offer Ren & Stimpy fans this RARE original hand painted "FREEZE" shot of Stimpy holding the Happy Happy Joy Joy vinyl record by Stinky Wizzleteats. This background was filmed and used in the John Kricfalusi masterpiece "Stimpy's Invention" (1992).

Stimpy: “Boy Ren! If you think you’re happy now, wait till you hear this! It’s a record of my favourite song. It’s called Happy Happy Joy Joy!”

This is possibly one of the most famous freeze shots ever in the history of this classic series!

This is a one-of-a-kind piece! Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork which appears on screen from the 09:56 mark.

The background artwork is painted in gouache on board, and measures 10.5 inches by 13.5 inches wide and has the three-peg punch holes. There is also a clear cel overlay which bears the Nickelodeon gold seal (lower corner) which can be placed over the background when framing the artwork.

The artwork is accompanied by the original Nickelodeon certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.

"Stimpy's Invention" is a first season episode of The Ren & Stimpy Show that originally aired on February 23rd, 1992 and was episode 13.
Stimpy in his naive optimism, invents an emotion-controlling helmet. Ren, whether he likes it or not, is now the involuntary test-subject. This episode is widely regarded as one of the greatest Ren & Stimpy cartoons ever made!
