We are pleased to offer PEANUTS fans, this outstanding fine art giclee entitled: "Glad Tidings" commemorating the 50th anniversary of "A Charlie Brown Christmas"
An incredibly rare find! In the late 60's, Mr. Bill Melendez and Mr. Charles M. Schulz made the decision to destroy the boxes of a "A Charlie Brown Christmas" animation art, instead of continuing their storage.
The original studio drawing, advertising the debut of this now holiday classic film was found amongst Mr. Melendez's correspondance file; safely preserved. The original art, india ink on paper was created, inclusive of the "Schulz" moniker, in 1965 by studio artists at Bill Melendez Productions.
"Glad Tidings" is faithfully replicated using the finest archival inks printed on Arches Velin Museum Rag Paper. The edition is limited to only 150 prints, and the artwork measures 15.5" x 12" inches.
"A Charlie Brown Christmas" originally aired on Thursday evening, December 9th, 1965.
