"Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown (and Don't Come Back!!)", is a 1980 American animated comedy-drama film produced by United Feature Syndicate and distributed by Paramount Pictures, directed by Bill Melendez and Phil Roman. It was the fourth full-length feature film to be based on the Peanuts comic strip.
This wonderful and RARE multi-character cel set-up features Charlie Brown with Snoopy and Woodstock asleep on the dog house. This art featured in scene 028 from the animated film.
Each animation cel has been fashioned in the finest tradition of the studio to preserve this classic film moment. Hand -painted cel(s) transferred from an animator's drawing are uniquely one-of-a-kind. The animation art used in this production bears the Peanuts Film Gallery seals of authenticity establishing it as such.
This beautiful artwork was created at the studio of Bill Melendez, in association with Lee Mendelson Film Productions, and the creator of PEANUTS, Charles M. Schulz. Each hand painted cel is applied with a reproduction background, and comes with the original set of production drawings. The artwork measures 14.5" x 10.5" inches (unframed), and is accompanied with the studio certificate of authenticity.
STORYLINE:
Charlie Brown, Linus, Peppermint Patty, and Marcie travel to France as foreign exchange students. Also along is Snoopy and Woodstock. While everyone is excited about the opportunity to travel to a foreign country, Charlie is disturbed by a letter he receives from a mysterious girl from France who invites him as her guest only to find that he does not seem welcomed to her chateau.
