Nickelodeon’s award winning television series “Rugrats” debuted on August 11th, 1991 to rave reviews. Tommy Pickles, his best friend Chuckie, his cousin Angelica, and his twins Phil and Lil offered viewers a new perspective on life, from the group up-or more accurately, from the rug up.

With the release of “The Rugrats Movie” in November 1998, the Rugrats’ universe is about to change. Nickelodeon’s first animated movie about a contemporary family introduces the newest Rugrat, baby Dil, and the challenges a new baby present to friendship and family. Just as “Rugrats” the television series has broken new ground, “The Rugrats Movie” follows in the same tradition of cutting-edge, breakthrough animation.

This hand-painted cel is based upon a favourite scene from “The Rugrats Movie” produced by Klasky Csupo Inc. The cel has been hand-signed by Rugrats creators and executive producers, Arlene Klasky and Gabor Csupo. Less than 50 of these cels were ever produced, and not all were signed, so this is a collector’s item!

The cel measures 10" by 16" inches wide, and has the official Nickelodeon seal (upper corner), and is accompanied with a certificate of authenticity, which is affixed to the back of the printed background.
