The Hillbilly Bears were originally part of the Atom Ant Show which was broadcast in 1965. This great 12 field hand-painted publicity cel was also a color model for the series. It features the entire family... Paw Rugg, Maw Rugg, Floral, and Shag Rugg! Nice images that measure between 2.5" (Shag) to 5.25" (Paw) inches tall. Cel is placed on a color card background for presentation purposes.
The artwork was created at the HANNA-BARBERA studios in Hollywood, California. The characters are all hand painted onto celluloid, and placed against the background.
Cels such as these are EXTREMELY RARE as most were destroyed, so finding artwork such as this is virtually impossible! This vintage piece of artwork originates from the estate of a Hanna-Barbera employee, and the artwork is issued with a letter of authenticity.
