Lippy the Lion and Hardy Har Har Original Production Drawing from the 1962 Opening Titles Sequence.
This is a very rare 12 field production drawing featuring Lippy the Lion and Hardy Har Har, which was used in the making of the opening titles sequence. Rendered in graphite and pink pencil on animation paper with three-peg punch holes. The animation sheet measures 10.5" x 12.5” inches, and is in very good condition.
Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork at approximately the 0:05 mark. We have provided a screenshot to show as reference where the drawing was used. The artwork was created at the HANNA-BARBERA studios in Hollywood, California, and is issued with a certificate of authenticity.
Lippy the Lion and Hardy Har Har is an animated television series produced by Hanna-Barbera and aired as part of the 1962 series The Hanna-Barbera New Cartoon Series starring the titular anthropomorphic lion and hyena duo in a series of goofy misadventures. Lippy, a lion, wears a tattered top hat and vest while Hardy, a hyena, wears a porkpie hat and bow tie. Lippy's voice, patterned after comic Joe E. Brown, is provided by Daws Butler.
