Comic Mint, is pleased to offer MAGILLA GORILLA fans this RARE hand painted limited edition animation cel entitled "Gorilla For Sale" (1997), signed by Bill Hanna & Joe Barbera.

"How much is that, um, Gorilla in the window..." Inspired by the wacky antics from "The Magilla Gorilla Show," this hand painted limited edition cel casts the little girl Ogee in the protagonist's role, "springing" Magilla from Mr. Peebles' pet shop (to which he inevitably returns at show's end...).

This limited edition cel began with an original drawing by Iwao Takamoto, from which a master inking was made by Barbara Krueger. This line art was then silkscreened onto an Exlar sheet (or "cel") in four colors, along with the Hanna-Barbera seal. Each cel was then expertly hand-painted on the reverse side, using original Hanna-Barbera colors. The background was created by Dennis Durrell and reproduced using a fine art lithography process. The edition number was hand-inked on each cel in an edition of only 200 pieces. Each piece has been hand-signed by Bill Hanna and Joseph Barbera.

The artwork measures 16.5" x 13.5" inches and is issued with a certificate of authenticity and in excellent condition.
