It debuted in Pep Comics #22, 1941 by Bob Montana. By the mid-1950s the cast included Archie’s Love Triangle of Betty and Veronica, and friends Jughead and Reggie.

Al Hartley Archie Annual #20 Complete 1-Page Story Original Art (Archie, 1968).
Archie Andrews should learn to keep his big mouth shut around Veronica Lodge's wealthy father. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. The image area measures 10" x 15" inches. Light toning, but otherwise in excellent condition. The page is signed by Al Hartley (final panel) and comes from his personal collection.
