John Byrne "I Would Be Afraid" Original Art (Marvel, 2012).
You are purchasing a John Byrne original commission from my personal collection. Commissioned in 2012, I am showing a certified letter as proof of the artwork. The letter comes from John Byrne's art representative, Jim Warden, who handles all of Mr. Byrne's art commissions.
My brief to Mr. Byrne was as follows: 18" x 24" inch illustration of Daredevil and several villains, the details are:
1) Please draw a night scene with an Eisner-like effect of text as buildings/background elements. Include the following text in the background:
"The Man Without Fear" - Feel free to use buildings, water towers, signs, etc. to create the effect.
Please include the following villains: Bullseye, The Jester, The Cobra and Mr. Hyde.
Draw a large central image of Daredevil with the villains creeping up on him from all sides.
Please leave a half inch border for framing.
Rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board, this large-size poster piece, measures 18" x 24" inches, the artwork is in excellent condition.
